When I began doing research into the jewelry of the Renaissance Era, I was delighted by the frequency of large golden chains showing up in portraiture.  This style is such an iconic *look* from this era, but it can be really difficult to source chains that are this large, especially in long lengths.  

Finding a modern material that would work for this was a high priority, so I was very excited to find this chain!

These are large 14mm oval loops, so you get all the impact of these Renaissance styles!  These are gold-plated brass in a very nice quality, plus the links themselves have a bit of texture to them for even more light-catching shine!

The 16" 7 19" versions close with a lobster clasp in the back, while the 48" length is continuous with no closures.  Note that the 48" version is long enough to wear knotted, a style commonly seen in portraits!
